La dame en rose, 1908 by Raoul Dufy

Raoul Dufy (1877-1953) is one of my favourite artists. His model in this painting looks like she needs a book in her hands. Something lighthearted might be nice.

Lovely painting, thank you!
Not one I have seen before.
I am a big fan Raoul Dufy, but just recently came across his brother Jean's work, have you seen it? Was it ignored because it was similar?
More here about their tricky relationship and some pics. http://www.normandythenandnow.com/an-eye-for-beauty-in-le-havre/

I like Jean Dufy's work also. Interesting to see the two brothers' views of Le Havre harbour side by side on your blog. Thanks for that!
